different situation of life

How I wish I am still younger than may age today  thoughts that I have in my  mind on my first month living Sweden. I wanted to explore and have a good job,because of a lot opportunities that could be good for me. Immigrant who married to a Swedish citizen receive help for study and got some little amount per month (after 2 years of stay but need residence permit). Difference if you're refugee from the country where they have war,they got help of everything shelter to live money for food and additional child allowance if they have kids.

Now  everything getting change,turning 38 gives me another meaning and vision in my life. The fact that economy crises is not totally getting back to normal. Unemployed are increasing each individual have worries about when it stop.

Honestly I have a feeling of little dissatisfaction in terms of my "degree" seems that I waste my time in Philippines for 14 years in school back to zero here. At age 38 for me it's almost in the middle and I wanted to pursue my plan to get in University here but time will tell if I have a chance. I am afraid to "give notice"to myself to stop working since I admit that I need to have income too. In my country being on this age we called it as we are old. We used to have a joke that calendar have only 31 days then after it you belong to what we called "old people".

I learned and noticed here in Sweden that people getting married late after 30's and have their kids in that age as well. Some young ones getting "partner" (not married is allowed here and live together) then have kids in their early age. This is where we could define the difference between the different culture and not a catholic country.

Their are also who will continue studying and proceed to university even if they have already kids. Nothing can stop them!but then another story because they are already Swedish and don't have the difficulty of the language.Unlike immigrant like me that would study more the language and give the best effort as I could.

They are conscious of their age but  over 30's is not a big deal for them and yes !they even  called it still in a young age. Age 40's and 50's big interest at being young is still remain in spite they live more in a meaningful life together with their love ones and close friends. The condition of being old is not the hindrance to find a job here as long as you are capable for the job and the company will  hire you. Department stores and other private sector like restaurant and fast food strand hired even pensioner. Some of them drive taxi in the night ,I meet and knew one guy who is 75 years old still driving taxi (taxi Gothenburg). I say no way for the first time I heard it from my husband but it's true. I met him many times and he is still alert and looks like still in 60's. The funny thing that his wife is working night as well in some fast food strand near buy the city.

Both have pension but they like to have extra money and used it for their holiday in other country. Life here is not tough as compared to where I came from. No tuition problem for their kids and no problem for what they gonna eat for today and for the coming day.They have everything, they are lucky.

This year I wish myself the best!and can still support the needs of my love ones out there in my country.
