You never know what you might find in "second hand store". Like example this "Eva Trio Legio egg-cup" I can't believe that I paid this egg-cup in low price. This is unused pack in the original cartoon. I surf in the net about the price in the market I feel lucky and glad for what I've gain. I did a good affair in Swedish market.

Our summer here is mixed with rain and sunshine. It doesn't bother me  we still have fine summer weather left  the celebration must continue until Autumn will arrive.  I wish it to visit the different part of the country most specially this season. This time we was in "Borås" or lets write it in English way"Boras" animal park were we did our short holiday.

 Honestly  I never saw  "wild animals" before in real,so this holiday is not for my daughter but for mom too. We watch Giraffe first, they are totally long and the neck hahahaha I love them.

 Look at the lions 2 sharp-pointed teeth mmm...no one dare to be so near them no other than the care taker of the park. The live wire helps to feel  safe for the visitors otherwise no one knows if they escape.

It was raining when we visit my husband's Auntie in the camping area. We used to come here every summer a kind of yearly tradition in the family. The place was still clean and tidy as it use to be that family ties here and enjoyed.

The weather was not perfect for swimming today otherwise the beach probably full of people. Mother nature is good enough to provide us for our relaxing place. The only thing we need is to take care in return.

Karlstad trip

Last week we've been in Karlstad spending our 6 years wedding anniversary. We decided to visit again with our daughter,sleep 1 night in the hotel there. My husband born in the said city which make a special for us to visit too.

Although it was a long car trip but I am not doubt to say that Karlstad is one of the beautiful city in Sweden. It is in between Stockholm (Sweden's capital city) and Oslo ( Norway's capital city). We have such a perfect weather on that day.

In the night we did our walked through the city itself. It's not crowded, in  short we experience a  peaceful evening in spite for the full restaurant and bars.

my reveal

The wind rose today and even yesterday. But I am happy anyway I have my reveal. Monday whole day I'm out home to have Filipino cooking. Everything was wonderful and they are all companionable. The best thing was "binignit" our sunny M ONDAY was unforgettable.

Lets talk about our environment again,because we need to care about it. I think not all people concerned about our dangerous waste from our home. Lot of us throw things together and burn it  without  knowing that some materials could be dangerous and harmful to human kind.

The biggest issue for today's waste situation is not new,we need to wake up. The picture I attached above is one example of a simple sorting. I took this picture just for you guys "as sample" that their are countries who do good for our mother earth. In the other case I understand why folk ignore to do good things because they luck of knowledge and right information. I understand it's not so easy at all. I confess that I have been in their shoes. Now I try to inform my family abroad what are the dangerous waste we need to take care off and not to blow off. Like battery that contains lead, mercury which are dangerous to us.

for dog

I saw this sign "hund bar" (hund Swedish word for "dog"). It's not  summer yet but we have warm weather that could enough feel thirsty under the day. In the park you cannot only see families but lot of dog lovers brought their pet and have fun too.  It was obvious why they put "water for dog" to be in hand if in case their pet wanted to have a drink. This was a generous idea! a kind giving heart and thoughtful to not only for people but to animal too.  In this country I am living in dog counts as one of a family member.

Dogs here treated as their kids;have good food and insurance as well.

Slottsskogen (Castle of Wood) when we say it in English. A beautiful place where families gather around. This is why I always say that Sweden is a beautiful country. Although summer time here is shorter compare to other weather season. But the nature here is one of the "top"secret".

We were walking the whole area watching seal and penguin,then proceed to kids  animal park area. I feel little tired,the park is huge that invite many things. I told my husband to buy some ice cream for refreshing.

 People are every where,playing volleyball but mostly who was here today are families. This is a holiday for me,really cosy park. They preserve tree for good!!that your walking through the area of "mother nature" so beautiful and relaxing is the place.

This was our weather on the morning of May 3. We experienced snow  that surprised us all. In the past Easter holiday we have a nice weather with  bright sunshine a lot of people had grill outdoor,did swimming in the beach and have a summer attire when they go out. This is a joke!(as I said to myself)we're going back again in the chilly spring day.

 I look outside through our window in the bedroom. The snowflakes falling are bigger enough that makes wet when its dropping into the ground. My 6 months daughter who was in my arm even noticed it since she reacted every fall. Anyway the snow gav us a different view,and it was beautiful to look at. But still we are eager to have summer weather since summer time in Sweden is shorter than winter time.

things remind me most

  I was out in the other day and saw this thing. I have no idea if this is still  functioning but I'm not doubt if not. Today in most advance country water supply at home is not a big problem. In a simple "click"with your finger so easy with water. How about going back to the old time.This old water pump remind my "childhood". Early in the morning we need to get water 10 minutes away from our house where there we must stand in a line.

Sometimes we have "stressful" moment where we need to fill up water in the water pump tube before it works. How thankful I am now that we have our advance technology. Even in my country we have a good source of water supply. But water pump as " in the picture above" is still "alive "out there specially in the province. MMm refreshing memory...

This Good Friday

In this Good Friday April 22, 2011. My husband went fishing with his 2 friends I like better to be at home with my "little honey". I do my usual daily household chore. In the news this morning mostly is about Easter celebration. They even took a clip of video from my home country(Philippines)about how we celebrate Easter Holiday. Majority of the people there are "Roman Catholic" believer. On this Holiday a meaning to spend with.

Even though I am living abroad strong belief remain inside me. That their is "God" this is the day we observed as the anniversary of His cruxifixion. People all over the world perhaps celebrate this special occasion in any different way depending what religion they belong. We must respect them,accept in every individuals faith.

I think today we need to understand and put in our mind that "God"really exist. Taking something forgranted about Him maybe a result of confusion of faith.

1 week Easter brake again, for whole week I am thinking to have my sandal. According to weather forecast we have sunshine for this days ahead  perfect time to show  foot. Let them smell the fresh air. Time for me to fix foot spa or foot massage even cut my hair. Winter season makes my skin so dry that even I used soft cream for it still does'nt help.

But it is not easy to find baby sitter for one day;my mother in-law is quite old to take care of  my daughter. I doubt to phone some friends because they have their works to take care. Hard to live in far far from family;all my sisters and brothers are not in the nearby. I must convince my husband to be home for few hours. I really need make over.

Get money on return bottles!this is not new here but I have a short story about it. In my home country we are not used to have this machine bottle. Instead we have some people who pick up from the garbage can and then sell it in station where they accept "recycling material" then forward and sell it to different recycling companies.

Usually glass bottle like example bottle from wine "tanduay bottle" is the common one or other kinds of bottle that the recycling station wanted to buy. The first time I did grocery here was with my husband he brought with him lot of 2 liters empty bottle of coca-cola. I asked him why?then he told me and explained it to me. In every grocery store their is a machine where we can "panta"in Swedish as you see in  pictures.

In all types of can beverages you get your money back!how much per each you  see in the "return machine". You save space at home because you don't need to keep it if you don't want too, in the other hand your helping the environment. Way back at home we used to keep the big bottle of coca-cola for water drinks and cold it in refrigerator. Some people used it for selling gasoline or kerosene that usually common in the province.

Selling May flower

Yesterday April 14 kids from diffrent schools have their premier day of selling "May flower". It is pink and green the simplest one cost 10 Swedish kr . The expensive May flower cost 50 Swedish kr .This is a Swedish school tradition support to children organization. They do it every year the money they gain is a big help to poor children here in Sweden .

I bought it yesterday,children knocking in my door.

Today I let our balcony door open. Yet, so windy outside that is strong enough. I not bother about it, I will like to breath this wonderful fresh air of spring weather. Soon we take out  grill fram because summer will come soon.

We almost cannot wait to sit down in the bench outside. Be seated on the chair and sunbathing the whole day long is everybody wishes. This is the time we rinse and clean our garden,take away the dry leaves. Easter holiday is approaching as well.

Some of families decorate Easter decoration at home but I doubt to decorate on this season. I have not much enough time. One thing I am sure to have daffodil  flower at home.

Second hand become trend

Good for environment better for us who lives in this  universe. Recycling is the correct word,but who do most?not so many of us. Here in Sweden shopping in second hand store is a new trend. It gives  2 purposes number 1, money will send for a help to poor countries number 2, save our environment out from climate threat!.

 Smart right? second hand shopping both in  internet and store increase interest. We have "blocket" here in Sweden very  popular at this present. A version of ebay but big difference because you have the oppurtunity to meet eye to eye between "you" the seller and buyer. You have the right to check the item you wish to buy before paying it. It really works!because people  is ready to drive long way to the place where the private person advertise the product.

 A lot of Swedish family do shopping in this name second hand website. It is not only saving the environment but to theirselves saving even money. It's not  only people in middle class buy second hand here because of trend folks follows even young adults.



2 months used only  from first family user.. very good condition when we bought it.

 It's one way or another that you may earned money from your old things. Why keeping it at home,where their are people who are willing to pay it.

Second hand stores here are manage by an organization. As I mentioned above their purpose is to help poor countries. Most of the things are donated by some kind owner who no longer likes their things at home. The help organization earned much money after it.A generous works that bring big help to poor people.  Africa is the number one country who got help most of all.

 I remember it as yesterday that time I was still living in my home country. When "ukay-ukay" ( Cebuano dialect meaning you need to rummage the bundle of second hand clothes) become popular in my country. The "ukay-ukay" clothes usually came from other country(abroad). The quality of the cloth is one strong reason why people take the bait.

Now this is best!

Spring weather is not really out this month of March. It's just  flashes out over us so that our yearning waken up! But from our window in the garden grass change to green. In the other side of the village lot of growing spring flowers  blooming violet and yellow. Actually I planned to take some pictures but I forgot to do it.


Little more.. every day I enjoy the late sunset. It seems cold sometimes and for windy - from wrong direction. It does not matter at all now this is best! 
 

At getting away from thick winter jacket,caps and boots is been great. In  soon this light easy pretty dress and skirt.

Summer comes in after few months till. Everything could be exciting for all of us here.

Waffle day

Waffle day again folks,Swedish people celebrate with a lot of activities in the kitchen. Bake..bake bake what is your favorite taste of waffle?.

after effect in Japan

Tap water is not safe to give for all babies in Tokyo according to authority. Japan is one rich country in South East Asia but the after effect of the tsunami brings a big amount of damage that takes many years to recover again.

Even though I live far far away from Japan today but my hearts was rumbled with worries. The rest of my family are leaving in Philippines and it might be affected if they will become worst. Nothing could stop the power of "global disaster".

The next World shortest man

This topic of today is not made-up of mine but a true story that I have read in aftonbladet article. My heart was deeply touch of this little "young man".


His name is Junrey Balawing lovingly my "kababayan"in Philippines. He maybe the next world shortest man. He is only 56 cm short but he is 17 years old. This year 12th of June he turn 18 years old then he take over the tittle "The world  shortest man". His family living in Zamboanga del Norte at the present.

I wonder in what particular place in Zamboanga del Norte because I was living 7 years(before) in Disud Sindangan. I appreciate his politeness answer during the interview. He will be proud if he's been choosen for the said "title". His parents had been advise by doctor to buy vitamin for Junrey under his 12 years of age. But due of poverty reason Junrey's parents really can't afford for the vitamin.

His mother take care of him because "Junrey" cannot walk and can't stand up. Look at his face "Folks"he is so much happy after all.

Mostly cars of Taxi Göteborg (taxi company) now a days have using environment friendly cars. I ride with my husband the other day. I observed how to refuel with gas. This new volkswagen touran .



same as the other car "gas car" could refil gasoline. This touran have only 12 liters..the nozzle is for gas.

The smart phone that all must think about

This is the smart phone that many of us wanted to have. LG:s mobile Optimus 2x getting gigantic! I read an article from (aftonbladet.se). I'm looking forward to see this on the store. It will be release this coming March here in Sweden. Lets see then..if the price is true that much cheaper than the other smart phone brand!

This phone can even connect  to your  tv!more info read to LG's website...I may think to have it as soon this phone release  in the market.
