heart sound

Monday morning as scheduled today  midwife visit at 10.00hour. A regular check up is good for me and to my baby. One of my (Filipina)friend will flight to Philippines tomorrow so I prepared something she could bring for my family there. A sort of vitamins that I think it's hard to send via airmail and happy to have a friend that could bring it  safe.

I sometimes feel little envy because I really want to spend my summer vacation in Cebu as planned before. But I need to take care my health and my "baby" of course, to flight long hour is not good and could be possible to be stranded. I decided to spend my summer here in Sweden by visiting the different places that I never seen before. I could wait long hour trip!in the future.

Continue in the medical center my midwife told me that she will listen"baby" heart. I asked her permission if I could record or take some video. Ohhh!what a lovely and wonderful feeling and a gush of emotion me and my husband got. The mixed feeling become tears!!!!..

just do it

Another day and another end of the week. My morning was usual as always,woke up at hour 6.00 preparing for work. It's not important for me if the weather is bad today anyway I have my whole day shift. rain and cloudy happened sometimes as typical weather on way to summer here in Gothenburg. I have my 1 day off yesterday and spend half day by chatting my family abroad. Then went to the city in the afternoon, I don't have any special things need to buy I only enjoyed myself looking around in the city.

I am now on my way 5 months of my pregnancy exactly this Wednesday. More and more I feel heavy and not easy to do things. I always take it easy as I could,but at being pregnant is not really easy! I spend my time talking to my stomach since the baby inside now start to noticed "mothers voice". It makes me special of course when theirs a time that it keep on kicking while I'm doing massage in my stomach.

Wonderful...wonderful,and a feeling of completeness. Thank you God!the "baby"inside me is normal as shows in my ultra sound. Baby's size is 15.4 cm and it started to move more that I could notice as before and what I've seen in the ultra sound was not easy to describe.The movement when she/he kick my feeling oh Lord hard to describe.I am totally happy and satisfied with my baby growing.I am proud!

the unexpected!

Typical Monday that lot of things need to be done at work. I was tired after my morning shift,have plan to take a walk after work but I can't take it today. I change my mind and phoned my husband if he could pick  me up instead. I will make it possible next time.

Sleepy,hot and I feel tight in my stomach!ohhh I am week 19 this week so it's not strange. Sign that my "baby" continue growing. I hope everything is fine and much excited for tomorrows ultra sound. well,while on way home I keep on talking to my hubby until we reach at his mothers house. He used to park the taxi car and change( to our private car),so I wait him and waited inside our (private car).

I am thinking not to get inside the house since I meet here yesterday and I would like to be home soon so that I can relax and fixed our dinner. After 5 minutes waiting my husband to be ready he asked me if I can come in inside. I have no idea why but I never listen to him because I thought that he only joking(as he used too). He told me again to come in and so I get out in the car and when I was in the main door what a delicious smell?

My husband and my mother in law prepared dinner and they surprised me!!! I know I am lucky to have them both.

Saturday picnic

The nice weather continue today and even yesterday. We did our premier Saturday barbecue  in the beach. My husband brought his fishing stuff and an extra for me if I like to try he said. We have with us one used outdoor grill and I  bought corn,potato salad as perfect for grill and both our favorite.

I have nothing to say about the view and the place because it was so beautiful. It was hot and I felt little stung in my skin but I am not worried  about since I used sun block. The sea water was still cold but people are eager to swim. The surrounding's smells barbecue, a busy Saturday in the beach as I could describe.

While waiting the marinated meat to be done at the same time my husband concentrate with his hobby(fishing). I saw him enjoying every minute he throw his casting rod. I have my "net book" with me so I started chatting with my family in Philippines at the same time. Time goes by and we decided to start the barbecue,I feel little bit hungry after the delicious smells that spread in the beach.

The best Saturdays ever that we spend together!as I told to my husband while we enjoyed our dinner in the beach. We was at home around hour 19.00 and directly felt asleep at hour 20.00 in the couch(sleepy after having fresh air for how many hours)and not even have enough energy to update my blog. I woke up almost hour 01.00 in the night but my husband still watching his favorite TV program. Hour 01.30 landed in bed.

my whim for today

Trust!easy to say but hard to find the right person who could give us 100%. We keep on searching friend but sometimes we failed and not sure to home we could really lend on. We are good of keeping promises but don't forget that we are much better of broken it. Sounds funny,but  if we try to analyzed how we human play our game in life. Have you noticed that everybody born to be the same in terms of self interest.

Family members turn to be enemy and lose ones trust  because of  inheritance fight. Money and material thing is  "evil" and spreading all over the world. No matter what culture you belong this is the fact. How could we stop this?why we are not God?contented of everything and wanted to be simple most of all humble.

Simple reason it's not easy being human.We are human that cannot make 100%perfect but good to know that we are trying. It doesn't matter if some people think that you are not doing right  today. Accept your fault and learn your mistake then you will be a better person at the next day. Remember no one is perfect except God so don't  judge others action and failure because we are all the same.

wonderful wednesday!

What a wonderful day we have here in Gothenburg. We finally experienced our first summer weather. Every one seems happy and take the chance to spend their day outside. We have a limited summer month here since we change seasons and summer is the shorter season among them all. We love the sun and used no umbrella!!!

After work I took a short walk just inside the place where I live. Hmmm what a feeling!when I heard the birds singing in the garden. It was a relaxing moment even though I am alone because my husband is out for his hobby(fishing)with his friend.

I am exactly 4 months and 2 weeks pregnant!today and next week May 25Th is my next ultra sounds. I cannot wait!!to see my "baby"again swimming in my matrix. I keep and tried to be calm everyday avoiding stress from work and eat nutritious food. Breathing fresh air is good to my baby and even to myself. So I keep on walking as I could.

In the other side of the garden I sat and looked this beautiful landscape. Full of wild flowers....wood anemone as they called it.

Tulip is not bloom yet but I think after another weeks flower will come with each different color. Goodbye thick jacket!I can now have my summer attire!

They called ESBL

Once again I have a sensitive topic that I write in my blog today.  I feel hesitate in the first place but since  I was thinking that maybe it could help and even give information to some pregnant women. Working in care industry is  advantage for you as a person because you learn more about medicine and some other related situation. But risk factor cannot be avoided like for instance the infection from the patience that possible spread away.

The good thing that I learned here that people care their health. They are active to have vaccine for both kind of disease( that could spread away )named it hepatitis,tbc,and the rest that could possible to stop by vaccine. One big reason why foreign people not afraid to travel in risk country like Africa and some part in South Asia.They make sure that they are protected against the bad bacteria that could killed them under their journey.

Today's concern of mine was about this ESBL(Extended Spectrum Beta Lactamase). This kind of bacteria spread away in hospitals and nursing home. A feeling of panic was what I've experienced this morning. We have 1 patient which is recently carrier of a disease that I mentioned above. I got worried as of course for my "baby". I right away pick up the phone and asked advise from my midwife if I need to stay away the patient for the safe of my baby. But she said it¨s not a problem and not dangerous for "fetus".

Thankful I was because this kind of bacteria cannot spread through host or we say by air. This could be travel through contact by hands. One thing I need to do is follow the hygiene routine (by washing hands and using gloves etc.). I was lightened and could breath back!

my pregnancy food

As all of people says that pregnant women eat strange food during their pregnancy period. No matter what it takes but "pregnant" will have it. Strange right?but it is totally true. Base on my own experienced from my 4 weeks  I always like egg. Boiled egg  in the morning and sometimes fried egg in the evening. That made my husband laughed and he understand of course. Most of the pregnant (book) says that if pregnant like to eat some kind of food that rich in some vitamins and mineral that means your body needed it.

That's one reason why you need to understand why pregnant eat strange food. But theirs some kind of food that have no vitamins but still you want it. Hard to explain  why we pregnant!like it and that.

Food next I like,hehehehhe hummer!!and I was totally crazy that makes additional work to my husband and did check in different  fish store. Hummer is hard to find here specially winter season(but theirs some frozen cooked hummer).I cannot control myself and became deparate to eat hummer. Not easy to explain either why?the idea of what kind of food I wanted today comes in a sudden.  

Last thing funny for me when one day my husband asked me if I would like "kebab". No as I answered!but when he arrived home and see it on his plate. hehehe I asked him if he can share half to me.

Party after work openly what young adults used to have. I don't know if it's right to describe them as liberated but since conservative type of person did not exist here anyway(not unless to those family with  immigrants background ). Parents are open to accept that their son and daughter have early intimate relationship. But this is part of their culture so I have nothing to say about it. They have called "freedom" here as for short. Every country have their own style and culture so we need to respect ,because  no one  we can called  perfect.

I am who I am even before, I like to meet new friends in order to sharpen my knowledge about culture difference. One of my co worker arrange a party in their new build house and I am invited! Hm mm happy of course that I have guts to mingle and leave my "shyness type" at home. Well...well.. I used to have coins under my shoe(joke).

The food was totally delicious and delicate, found no rice as "I always have at home" hehehe.

Cooked roe,smoked salmon(which is one of my favorite),shrimp,cooked egg and more as you could see in the picture. Not so many menu as observed above but with bread(not white bread)and potato we are all full and satisfied. Dinner is not complete without the delicious dessert and it was a perfect evening. 

The panorama view from the second floor of the new built house fascinated me a lot. Look at this!view from veranda facing in the marina. One popular reason why houses with this kind of view give the highest price in real state market here.

In the other side of the house same view from the veranda!5 minutes walk to our working place. Mm mm but to own house here is not cheap.You need to pay lot of house taxes monthly and so other bills ,really cost money compared to have a house in Philippines. This is one reason that I am contented if we're living in co-operative plats here and have some "bahay kubo"in Phil.instead.

Chicken with thyme

My dinner today was again excellent the food that my husband had cooked taste good. He did the cooking work as always in the kitchen while I take some rest in the living room. Of course I planned to help but since I need to clean the house so I take some brake in the couch. Dinner was surprised he said  so I let him alone and do everything in the kitchen.

Our 5 years wedding anniversary is quite near and it's good news for both of us that we succeed to have a happy living. Culture difference is not the hindrance of our marriage life. We keep our promise to talk each other for whatever problem situation we need to face. Even it's my family problem in Philippines, it's a pleasure to have him in my life. He is always in myside.

Now that I am pregant he did extra job at home and help me more than before. Food is ready and hmmmm smells so good. He did chicken with thyme for the first time he cooked this menu. Unbelievable  the food taste and smells  totally good. Thanks to my husband for the pleasant dinner today.

The next Philippine Presedent! 2010

First and foremost I would like to say that today's blog post of mine is quite sensitive topic to discuss. I ask forgiveness in case I may write something which is not necessary to say. But I would like to express my own opinion as I have observed and learned here abroad.

I heard from the radio here and have seen news in TV about the "Presidential election". As usual worse situation had happened, few people killed. I felt deep sorrow why we need to stop ones life just for our own interest. It maybe happened that someone killed someone  to protect the candidates name. A worse scenario in my beloved country that I am worried about when it stop!

Philippine needs a true leader, that could handle and control his/her cabinet member to not let them destroy the future of the Filipinos. Sometimes I believe that no matter who will be the new elected leader(person surrounded him/her) give important part why we have called"corruption". I don't believe that it's Presidents failure because they work as  group! yes in spite that the President role the country.

We need to face the fact that our country is weak in terms of leadership. Lets help each other and stop buying votes just to win your own interest. Why we need to buy "power"and destroy our nation!We will stop being naive and start to think more concrete for our own good and future for our young adults. I hope people is wise enough to choose the good one and deserving winner not because he/she work in film industry or maybe from a well known family.

But please think deeply and analyse who is the "Best" for us. I  congratulate "Noynoy Aquino" as he is the new elected leader. I hope that he is the perfect one to help and stop the worse corruption!and could give hope and so we can called new Philippines.

Early shopping

We both wake up quite early in the morning and prepared for the "baby market"outside Gothenburg City. It's raining but still lot of people come and most of them are mother to be some  bought their small children. I think that the school administration did the idea and used the money for the school development or maybe something. Most of the staff working today are their own teachers.

We came 1 hour after the market open and the area was already crowded. We decided to concentrate for "baby cloth"and yes we had bought almost 45 different kind of infant garment. I felt tired and hungry and did my branch at home around 12:00. My mother inlaw invited for dinner but I told her and asked if we could have it tomorrow instead. I was so tired for today shopping, my husband and I did grab today's "baby market"oppurtunity since it happened rarely and sometimes our both scheduled was the problem.

Baby boom as the report shows, obviously prices for infants article are getting higher. The reason why we decided to have shopping early.

It's not in my plan to window shopping for baby cloth. A little bit early I think,but I cannot let my mind go away from children department. I find myself laughing and did enjoy when I saw this white "infants"shirt. Sale item but I never bought it for the reason that I need to wait 2 months more. Yes!I almost tempted and save by the bell because I got phone call from my husband. We have plan of checking prices for baby crib today.

First this one I asked my husband but he does not like at all. I don't like the price either quite expensive and not practical.

We proceed to the next display and we both like it. Inside the crib it could change to different level both higher up or down.This is what we've planning to buy for my baby. I like the color white but we will discuss it at home later for the price and  hopefully we could get some discount. To have a baby here is expensive everything coast money.

getting change

I maybe over reacted sometimes of my body changes. At home my husband and I have jokes to one another and he called me "smällen" it's a(Swedish) joke for pregnant woman. My wardrobe need to update and I started separate "my maternity clothes. But thanks for the new "mode" today some of them still OK to used. At last I got passed the worse thing! morning and evening sickness had totally gone: Now I enjoy every moment of my pregnancy that I can even go out and go fishing with my husband.

It's not summer yet here but the weather is getting better and better almost everyday. Last week of April had been raining for almost the whole week but it did help for the trees to get back and be green again.

May 2 as we're the same off from work we did fishing and have fresh air. I bring "picnic"but I ate alone since my husband not feel hungry he want to concentrate to have some catch.

His patient rewarded after 15 throw finally and catch "Sea trout" relative to salmon fish. It was exact size as the fishing authority required. Otherwise we need to throw it away if under 45 cm. Dinner is free!fresh and healthy food rich in omega 3 and protein.
