I visited my Cebuana friend the other day. We spending the rest of the day by cooking Filipino food(inun unan and buwad). Sad to say that I cannot cooked it at home since my husband can't take the smell of the dried fish. Besides eating alone is not so great that like having no appetite. I couldn't understand why it smell bad when we fried the dried fish. That even myself felt different odour.





The day cannot be complete without karaoke (wow magic sing) .The surroundings started to dark even the time was 1600hour. It's typical for this season,we have now shorter day and longer night. Since I meet my friend not so often although we talked on phone but still we keep on talking and talked. Until we decided to go shopping the square nearby the place I live. Frölunda square is popular at this time because of the newly opened store just this month of November. I took some picture outside the square of their new renovation using my 2 years old mobile N73.

what a day

November 29 and wow! I don't know if I should say finally or should not. Today is the first advent yah Christmas is near. All the neighborhood have lighted their advent candle. Now I feel that this is Christmas.

Lot of family started to visit Liseberg( amusement park) that located in Gothenburg City. This weekend Swedish big stars performing live but unfortunately I couldn't watch them since I need to work. I tried to be positive in my workplace and pretended that I never dream to watch the big stars.

I've been doing the morning routine as we used to be,then distribute medicine. the department was calm and seems everything was fine. Until a sudden my co worker called up my name,ohhh dear things happened again. Emergency situation,we made 112 call(911 for US) and ambulance arrived. One of us need to followed to the Orthopedist hospital I volunteer myself because for me it's useful and good to experience things.

I appreciated both the ambulance nurses(in Sweden only qualified nurse can work within ambulance).They both have competence and professional enough to their work.Inside the ambulance have their own hospital instrument in case the patient need it while on the way to hospital. they have ECG(electrocardiogram). In my mind I call it "little hospital". I was impressed and at the same time pleased that I ride with them. An experienced that I cannot buy money.

white Christmas

I'm waiting for the white Christmas to come.. I whispering to myself while waiting my buss this morning. The time was 700 but still gloomy as usual.Everybody is wishing that snow come before the end of November. It's been lighter when theirs snow, and seems more cosier.

Swedish christmas drink

The whole day was raining. I woke up hour 10.00 that I even not recognized it. It was dark outside and haven't any spirit to go out as we planned yesterday evening. I told my husband to stay home and watch our favorite TV program instead.



While eating breakfast we discussed food for dinner this evening. We both agree to have "potatoes Au gratin" with fish in it,but we are out of cream!. We went out for grocery in spite of the pouring rain.



I was inside the department store I feel the spirit of Christmas. Christmas decoration is everywhere,and even they started to display "Swedish Christmas drinks".

"Glögg" as picture attached is one example of the Swedish drink that every family have during Christmas Eve. It has different flavour that you may choose from no alcohol content and have alcohol. Warm it first before you drink! Big things happened 2 years back. I came from different culture and never have taste "glögg"in my life (before I married to my husband). I have no idea that it should be warmed ,I opened the bottle and tried to smell and taste. My husband did stopped me. Ugh!shamed on me... We both laughed until now it's still funny when I think about it.



















Julmust have different taste from "coca-cola". Swedish Christmas celebration is not complete without julmust. It actually taste good more sweeter than coca-cola. Both "glögg" and "julmust" are the important drinks for every family here during Christmas season. I'm glad that now I am part of their tradition.

the beauty of Sweden

As things stand today,the sun shine and we're ready for a car trip. Destination is Kungälv North of Gothenburg. It's not a big town but Kungälv has much more to offer. They have lot of tourist during summer that would spend and stayed because of the fortress and the excellent oppurtunity of swimming,sun bathing and sailing.

I asked my husband if could possible to take the other road,type country road. In my mind I wanted to feel the breeze from other environment.We ride carferry to reach Marstrand Island that it takes 3 minutes for the ferry to cross over between the area boundary.

I am facinated again because of the natural beauty here,even it's quite far from the City side.It was so peaceful,clean and neat area. We arrived around 1500 and started to look around and took coffee brake. I realized how possible is to the country who have strong government and implement the right law that everybody need to pay tax equaly. I look up and compare Sweden to some other country,yes they have much better system as I mentioned again. Deep inside me wished that hope it could be happened in my home land. Someday and somehow....

The fortress is one of the tourist spots here in Marstrand Kungälv. It was the idea of the late king of Sweden Carl X during war between the Danish and to the Norwegians.

After the long siteseeing,my whole body started to freeze. I convinced my husband to get inside the car and drive way home. I am satisfied for today's trip! It's been a good experience.

Christmas is approaching, I wanted to go home and spend Christmas to my relatives and friends back there at my home town Cebu. Unfortunately my schedule is not fit I need to work . I spend my Christmas as I did the past 3 years with my new family here.

I told my husband about my plan to travel to London instead and have 3 days vacation there.We're planning before Christmas or maybe after new year. I never been on that City I know theirs a lot of things in London and it would be excited. I was thinking this past days that I may worth to spend my money and enjoy my life. I've been working hard and help my family I need to reward myself.. To travel in different places is one way to relax my mind and it's fun.

Right now I keep on searching for the good price for both hotel and flight ticket.

the quality show

Bad weather and have a bad conscience meet together. While preparing my breakfast I was thinking the things happened for the past weekend.I feel bad and thinking regrets the words that I've said to one of my co worker. I have reasons! but why I felt this way.She cross the boarder line and I think it's unfair so I need to stop here. I lose my temper,life is hard and sometimes unfair.







I continue eating my bread and smell my green tea and take some deep breath. Things in my mind are all negative ...I watched TV for a while and take it easy.I know I came late to "quality show" today but I don't mind. I am thinking not to go but my 2 colleague waiting me in the central Gotheburg. Our ticket was paid by our employer.


























Hour 11.30 we arrived at the "show"that started hour 8:30. We looking around and asking information about "how they work with quality"in work. It's interesting, and informative of course. We took some brochure from different company,that we think it's useful for us.

This is the good side of Gothenburg companies because they are working always with quality.

going to the City

Cold wind, winter season is near as well as the first advent. I take a walk going to my acupuncture, this morning just to have fresh air. I have my warm sweater and winter jacket that makes me sweaty in spite of the cold weather. I still missed summer, the nice views of the landscape and the scent of the flower. Sweden is a nice place clean and not so populated and the air here are less polluted.

They have called "Eco driving" which means that you drive economically and released less carbon dioxide and environment friendly. Here people don't need to cover the nose, you really felt that it's clean in the air. After the treatment I went home to eat brunch since the time was hour 11.30. I ate bread with my favorite danish "salami" and tea. I was satisfied then and watch "ELLEN " show until it was finished. Then I decided to go out to the city to enjoy my day off just alone.

Curiosity!

Most of the people miss understand someone who are curious of something. We don't like to see one's our friend are too much anxious of our private lives. Of course it's not so funny! but I think a curious person could be a smart individual if he or she used it in different way.

If we think and compare to a child's world of curiosity that parents are proud of. The more the child is curious the more they will learn. It could be good and helpful to us being curious with something and have into positive things. In that way our daily life will improve into the top that we wish to reach on.

I even agree with others that "curiosity" is not enough tools to reach our ambition, but I insist that it's the way that we have better and learn something new. Don't be afraid if you find yourself that you are "curious" one used it and good luck! you have a long journey.

How different life is across the universe

At living in the country with high standard takes time of patience. Everything is new that you need to learn from the beginning. It doesn't matter how old you are and your standard status in your country origin. Things change here in abroad, "welcome to the real world" as friend of mine used to say. For the other hand it was nice learning new things,because I do love challenge in life.

One summer, my husband teach me how to ride a bicycle but it never succeed. It's been awkward situation that I am 37 years old started to learn "bicikleta". I told my husband forget it! I preferred to walk into my workplace than riding a" bike". Yeah! sounds strange idea but I'm afraid and I have no control of my balance.

I find myself a hopeless situation, and thinking why I never learned me this things when I was a child. It was not so important on that time to have a "bike" parents was prioritised food in the table. In short problem with money. Poverty! hard to explain that you cannot do about it. all things in my country cost money most of all to educate one child. Money...money..money..

That's it! unlike here that parents could buy everything whatever their children wanted to have. Toys,computer and even own TV in their respective "own bedroom". This is one reason I missed it when I was a child.

They have a good government system here,parents receive help from the state if they have child which they called it "child support". At 18 years old, most of them leave their parents and find to be independent. Parents are not own them to send college or whatever. Young adults decide oneself of what they wanted to do with life.. It's called "teenagers" freedom.

We are just human,could be a good person or the opposite one. If your working it is so often that we heard from our coworker complaining unnecessary things. Talking against from their coworker who is off duty even if without purpose. These are an examples of different kinds of behaviour that we are today. It doesn't matter what race you came from, or in what place living in. We are good at judging each others fault.

We do our very best in order to fit in the group and get famous. Unexpected things happened you did mistake and people try to down you. Until they all forget the "good things"you did before. Why is it so easy to judge people? Hope that every body will look at oneself in the mirror before they judging someone else.

Better late than never!

Sunday...Sunday,still autumn here and cold as seems it's already winter. We did cemetery visit today my husband and my mother in law. It's better late than never right!

Back home I Started decorating Christmas tree together with Christmas light and advent candle. I look out in the neighborhood and noticed them that they're not started yet. But I never mind it, I find it cosy after I finished everything.

Christmas is near

I'm still not understand how it goes so fast. It's now November and the summer was just disappear just like that. I think everybody noticed that days pass quickly.November 1st was all saints day, time to light candle with our love ones who has passed away.

I felt sad that I have no opportunity on that day. I was working , here I still don't know if they have called "public cross"as I know we can light candle to those relatives that was buried in some other places. It's not really easy sometimes living far away from the home country. Anyway I did told my family to light candles and have mass for my "mother" who passed away back 31 years ago and so with the soul of some relatives.

November here in Sweden but yet no Christmas decoration in every street. They have late "Christmas here" as I interpreted last 3 years ago. FM station does not play Christmas music.

So different in the Philippines, beginning month of September you already feel the spirit of Christmas. Open the FM station and DJ played Christmas music,which I missed a lot as well with Christmas carol(house to house) it was fun.
